Please note that the guideline does not, at any point, mention placing the article in brackets at the end of the title. It only mentions including the article in the title or removing it from the title.
The default sort key can be used to keep the category lists from being overly full of items beginning with "The". As at the time of this edit, the default sort key for this article is "Wolseley Sheep Shearing Machine Company", therefore the category lists will list it as that.
Why is there a website listed in the infobox that links to the site of a company that does not call itself The Wolseley Sheep Shearing Machine Company and does not either make or sell sheep shearing machines? Does the F. W. Woolworth Company infobox include a link to the website for Foot Locker? Sincerely, SamBlob (talk) 20:31, 31 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The company seems to have renamed itself during the last century. Perhaps a link to the company's history page would be more appropriate than a link to the main page. Stepho talk 14:38, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That sounds sensible. I should note, however, that the company already has another Wikipedia article about it under its current name: Wolseley plc. The article about the current company has a link in its infobox to the current company's website. Sincerely, SamBlob (talk) 16:29, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I would normally prefer both articles to be merged into a single article but in this case the original company has enough info that is quite different to the modern company. Also, the article for the modern company looks like a lot more info about modern operations could be added. So it makes sense to keep the overview article of Wolseley plc and then link to lots of articles for the original sheep shearing company, Wolseley Motors and the various businesses that it controls today.
