Largest bingo hall?[edit]

I have seen some references that indicate this was the largest bingo hall when it opened. Can anyone confirm? Vegaswikian 06:20, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I found this story http://www.rgj.com/news/stories/html/2004/03/28/67267.php near the bottom it says, "The Western Hotel and Casino opened as a bingo parlor in 1970, when it was the world’s largest bingo parlor with 1,020 seats; slots were added later." Sounds like it might be one of the references you already know about though. Dv82matt 04:09, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Actually that is a differnt source then the ones I saw. But I agree that it probably is safe to add that fact to the acticle. Vegaswikian 04:52, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That's hard to believe unless the place was nothing but a bingo parlor. The whole place is less than 9000 square feet. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.224.206.168 (talk) 17:38, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

Right now all the reference links on the page are dead. I know for a fact that the hotel is closed since I've been there. I simply replaced the two dead links with a live SEC reference page. Pacomartin (talk) 02:02, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually you should check to see if they are on one of the page archive sites. If they exist there then the link should be updated to point to the historical copy of the web page. Dead link points to several of these sites. Vegaswikian (talk) 02:49, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
