Page move to "The Voice Australia"[edit]

I propose that this page be moved to The Voice Australia. The series is referred to by that name on 99% of news articles, the official Facebook page, YouTube channel and Twitter page, Australian TV EPGs and TV guides, and in the media in general. The new name also provides natural disambiguation from other international versions. It also makes naming the individual series articles less awkward (e.g. "The Voice Australia (season 1)" instead of "The Voice (Australia season 1)") Thoughts and opinions? I would like to agree. But the Website of the series [1] just calls it The Voice. Besides, what do you do with the article names of The Voice Kids (Philippine TV series), The Voice Kids (Dutch TV series), The Voice Kids (Australian TV series), The Voice Kids (Greek TV series) and so on? As far as I know, these other international versions do not refer to themselves as "The Voice Greece" or "The Voice Philippines". In the case of Australia, this does occur and it is referred to almost exclusively in media and on-air as "The Voice Australia". I am only proposing the move for the Australian version. In this case, the children's version would likely remain unmoved as it is only referred to as "The Voice Kids". Nick Mitchell 98 (talk) 11:54, 16 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, I see what you mean. At the moment, The Voice Australia ist a redirection to The Voice (Australian TV series), and in my humble opinion, this may remain as it is. I disagree with the proposal, as I don't believe it is so widely refered to locally as 'The Voice Australia'. It's official website here doesn't seem to refer to The Voice Australia anywhere except its social media links, where it obviously needs to differentiate from global editions. Also, on ratings releases, it is only refered to as 'The Voice' such as here and here as well as media articles I found recently such as this and here as well as in Nine Entertainment Co. official press releases such as this and this. 2020 Judges Confirmation[edit]

Please can someone leave a link to some where that confirms will.i.am is returning please because after i researched it not one article came up LaVozSA (talk) 00:28, 19 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Jessie J's and Ronan Keating's colours[edit]

I have made changes in these coaches colours because I think:

  • "#ff9999" can be used for the upcoming coach Rita Ora, since it was her colour in The Voice UK; it would match colours, just like what was done with Boy George's colour. I'm just darkening Jessie's red. Consequently, it will be a little difficult to see the blue names of Ellie Drennan (season 4 winner) and Jessie J (season 4 winning coach), so I suggest bolding those names, to prevent any disturb for colourblind people.
  • "#fbb46e" is such good colour for these tables, and I thought it was wasted with Ronan, who coached in only one season. I just darkened the orange, and I'm saving the previous one for a long-term coach. Perhpas, if Keating comes back in the future, "#fbb46e" can go back to him.

Also, I apologize for all the undos I made; I kinda panicked when I saw all my work reverted.

Huh? You don’t “reserve” colours for people who “may” come back to the show. I’m gonna be bold and add back the #fbb46e colour because it was changed without adequate explanation. You can't say “this colour is so good that I’m gonna not use it until someone who may come back to the show comes back”. That’s...not how colours work. I also advise both of you to stop changing colours unless there is a really good explanation. Just because you personally don’t like a colour doesn’t mean you can change it to a colour you like. IMO, yellow is the most disgusting colour on this planet. I don’t go around changing all the yellows to pinks or turquoises, though. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 20:21, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your response. I did not meant to do a disturbing change. I am sorry. I'm just very passionate with this franchise and with all the colours. I guess I've been spending too much time around here. But, in my defense, I didn't purpose changing orange to blue or salmon to black; I just meant to darken the colour shades. Thanks for your apology! I’m sorry too - I realize now that I may have been a bit snippy. Going back to the colour shades: I think unless the colour is really light (like Team Keith  ), the colour shouldn’t be darkened, to comply with MOS:COLOR. For example, Jessie's colour yesterday was too dark for there to be a blue link, and wasn’t complying with MOS:COLOR. Have a great day/night! I know you've told me that saving colours is not how colours work; however, if I wait until season 10 new information is added, then am I able to suggest swapping Jessie and Rita's colours? @MarcioRob24: hey. I personally think  Jessie J  looks better. The colour is a little lighter, so the blue of the link doesn’t hurt your eyes. @MarcioRob24: yea. It's just that  Jessie J  is a lighter shade, which is better for viewer's eyes. Just to clarify: the shade I suggested is a replacement for the shade you suggested because it's a little lighter. Red and blue are the two trickiest colours to pair, since the light cones in our eyes make it really tough to see red and blue together. Example:  WP:Example  isn't pleasing for the eyes. Ergo, there can't really be any dark reds, they have to be whitened to a pink/coral/salmon colour. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 19:05, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That way we don't have to deal with blue links and coloured backgrounds... I ask this because, after all, all the hyperlinked names are also in the sections "Coaches' teams" and "Seasons synopsis".
