new direction[edit]

got back online and updated, onel5969, sorry if we disagree on notability. I have added sources and cites to flesh out the submission, a 2013 documentary was added along with notable Valiants. I did not add the controversial coverages of fires where the CAFFA elements within the Union sought to blame the fire leadership (Valiants) of failure and incompetence as it does not add context. Also the extent of the CAFFA lawsuit and the background. I also did not delve into the time it took for the lawsuits to result in the 26% minority hires in the PFD, which is the real crux of the Valiants, the fact that a consent decree lasted this long to get the desired result, matching the hiring rate to the number of minorities in the general population. It was a fight against an element in the union which went to court to end persistent bias, be very aware, the C in caffa does not mean concerned. https://www.philastories.org/psstories/2017/2/26/claude-shrader "Alfred Ward joins the Philadelphia Fire Department in 1950 on a Whim," PhilaStories video interview by Mike Feagans "Clarence Brogden: Joins The Philadelphia Fire Department, Engine 11," PhilaStories video interview by Mike Feagans CaptJayRuffins (talk) 16:58, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Now notability not the issue, the existence of fraternalism is??[edit]

So, with the addition of the proclamation from the City council notability is no longer an issue, so the style faults and fraternalism of the times is? May I suggest reading IABPFF as a prelude to Category:African-American firefighting organizations?170.28.136.41 (talk) 15:35, 14 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Can sources be plagarized(Slightly)?[edit]

I was of the impression that the statements in the article can't be copied from other places, but how is a reference source a copy? TheSandDoctor(talk) CaptJayRuffins (talk) 13:52, 26 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
