About the Car[edit]

The car in the movie is not a 750 nor a 765. First of all, there is no such thing as a 765 in the generation of 7 series that was in the movie. In Europe, the 750 models either don't sell, are not very popular, or probably not sold at all. In the movie, if I recall correctly (though I saw it translated in spanish) it was referred to as a 735. Cirilobeto 23:22, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

According to the dialog in the movie, it's a black 1999 V8 BMW 735i. With the exception of the special 1, 2, and 3 buttons used for switching the license plate, and the security lock located in place of the ashtray, all of the instrumentation is identical to the US version (the 740i). — Loadmaster (talk) 02:57, 18 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

two trucks; one rescued[edit]

I feel it is important that this page mention that The Transporter has one of the largest plot holes of any movie I've ever seen. Basically, two trucks are seen leaving the docks and driving down the road, and it is mentioned that two trucks contain containers full of people, but Frank only rescues one of the trucks (the second one). The other is never mentioned again after that point. The ending of the movie shows all the police surrounding the rescued truck, but the other one has vanished from the plot completely.

Although I generally don't feel it important for wikipedia to point out errors in movies, this one is special because the "hero" only completes half of his job (but he still got all of the girl). If nothing else, it should be mentioned under "miscellaneous".

The earlier part of the movie mentions only one container, so there's only one truck we're interested in. One of the trucks vanishes from the plot right after Frank's 'landing' on the highway. Zahn 20:26, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not plot[edit]

Although it looks like it was an attempt to explain the above inconsistency it is not strictly "Plot" and does not belong in the plot section. It could be re-added to the Home media/DVD section or perhaps elsewhere but I would agree with the above opinion that once all the bad guys are killed it is problem solved and Frank can leave the cleanup to the authorities. -- Horkana (talk) 21:15, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Incidentally, although two slave containers are identified, Frank only recovers one at the end of the film. In the DVD commentary, this is remarked upon and it is mentioned that the other container truck was stopped further up the road.

Product placement[edit]

No mention of product placement in the film. Tiger beer was prominently featured, I believe Orangine/Pepsi were also featured. I recall reading somewhere they were well payed for this prominent product placement. Not sure if BMW were paying for placement too. There is no mention in the article about the music used in the soundtrack. The CD release can be found at Half.com.
