DVD Realese date[edit]

I'm just wondering, does anyone have any Idea when they might come out? --Crypto 138 (talk) 04:55, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrility?[edit]

I think this passage needs a bit of cleaning up/rephrasing:

"There have been major complaints about the internal packaging as of the release: Both versions have changed from a digipak style of disc tray in previous seasons, to an accordian-style series of cardboard sleeves into which the discs slide, similar to vinyl records. It's been theorized that this was done to make the box completely biodegradable (so as to be environmentally friendly like the carbon-neutral Futurama DVD movie releases), but this doesn't make much sense, as the "limited edition" box features a plastic Krusty head on its cover."

Firstly this passage only cites one complaint of the DVD's packaging; one complaint on the internet does not constitute "major complaints". However it is true there have a been a number of complaints and there have even been a couple of petitions for both a re-packaging of this series and a change in packaging for Season 12, both of which have garnered a considerable amount of signatures. Perhaps if these sources are cited as well then there is merit for mentioning complaints about the packaging (though I think "a number of complaints" is better phrasing than "major complaints").

Also the tone of this passage sounds a bit more like a consumer rant than an unbiased, neutral Wikipedia article. And is the description of the packaging really necessary? Especially when a source with a lengthy description of the packaging is cited? I think, if this is going to be considered notable, then all that's necessary is a short sentence along the lines of: "Following the release of the box set there were a number of complaints from consumers regarding the style of packaging in which the DVDs came" And then with the DVD review cited along with the two petitions out there.

Anyone agree?

I removed the excessive POV and shortened it. Better? -- Scorpion0422 16:43, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Quality degradation[edit]

Something should be added about the many accusations of a reduced show quality starting with this season. It is mentioned in many reviews for the season and could link back to the relevant section in The Simpsons main article. StewdioMACK (talk) 01:44, 3 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Colour contrast problems[edit]

It seems that this article is using colours in the infobox which don't satisfy Wikipedia's accessibility guidelines. The contrast between the foreground colour and the background colour is low, which means that it may be difficult or impossible for people with visual impairments to read it.

To correct this problem, a group of editors have decided to remove support for invalid colours from Template:Infobox television season and other television season templates after 1 September 2015. If you would still like to use custom colours for the infobox and episode list in this article after that date, please ensure that the colours meet the WCAG AAA standard.

To test whether a colour combination is AAA-compliant you can use Snook's colour contrast tool. If your background colour is dark, then please test it against a foreground colour of "FFFFFF" (white). If it is light, please test it against a foreground colour of "000000" (black). The tool needs to say "YES" in the box for "WCAG 2 AAA Compliant" when you input the foreground and the background colour. You can generally make your colour compliant by adjusting the "Value (%)" fader in the middle box.

Please be sure to change the invalid colour in every place that it appears, including the infobox, the episode list, and the series overview table. If you have any questions about this, please ask on Template talk:Infobox television season. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 05:30, 2 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
