| Walsh's book notes that this was not confiscated from a fan, but recorded at the Bowery by a stage tech. The tech says that the band knew he was recording and Westerberg said something along the lines of 'why, we suck'. The tech notes that after returning the tape was gone and a few weeks later we had TSHTF, which he had to actually go and buy. He referenced Paul's quote in the linear notes. |
