Welcome to my First Article![edit]

This is my very first original article here on Wikipedia (not counting minor edits and such), so feel free to offer any tips or ideas for improvements you can think of. I haven't finished yet, and will continue to expand it as I go along, mostly in the plot section, which will become much more comprehensive. Oh, and if you haven't, check out the book; it's quite good.

Fair use rationale for Image:KevinCrossleyHolland TheSeeingStone.jpg[edit]

Image:KevinCrossleyHolland TheSeeingStone.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Title[edit]

WorldCat libraries are split about cataloguing this as Arthur: The Seeing Stone (which the original front cover supports) or The Seeing Stone (US library of congress, although the first US ed. used the original cover). Most of the foreign-language editions begin "Arthur". Soon after I discovered this (very late) i added the second formal reference to WorldCat "Formats and Editions" and saved the article in a split state --mentioning both titles without identifying either one as primary.

We should go with the first edition title page if possible. Second choice may be the British national library (not LCC) If not that, the British national library.

Simply for the fact of the 2001 Guardian Prize i have given a formal reference to "Guardian Children's Fiction Prize 2001" at guardian.co.uk, which is woeful underuse. That "top page", as I call it, incorporates links to much contemporary coverage by The Guardian in print or online. --including the first four of the following but not the fifth.
