Unnecessary?[edit]

I believe this trivia bit is unnecessary...

At the police station Scott claims he, Santa Clause, is known in the Netherlands as Sinterklaas. This is false. The correct translation would be: Kerstman, literally meaning Christmas man. [Note: Scott never actually says that he's known as this in the Netherlands. In fact, the Netherlands are never mentioned.]

He never actually says he's known as that specifically in the Netherlands, and Sinterklaas is a holiday figure in the Netherlands, much like Santa Claus. DVD Release Date Discrepancy[edit]

The "Home Media" section states that "The first DVD was released on October 29, 2002" in the first paragraph, but the second paragraph then states "...the exchange was removed from the 1999 DVD release..." implying a DVD was released three years earlier. "Broken neck" ?[edit]

Where in the movie is this said as being an injury to the Santa that 'fell'/slid off Calvin's roof?

As far as I know, the Santa was only injured enough so as to not be able to finish that night's deliveries.

As to what happened to him after he waved and disappeared, that is never talked about nor mentioned.

And if anything was said about a "broken neck," it was not a professional diagnosis; it was said "off the cuff" and never meant to be taken literally.

As such, I think that part of the first sentence in the second paragraph of the "Plot" needs to be deleted or the sentence re-written with the "broken neck" reference removed.

Neil or Neal?[edit]

Orphaned references in The Santa Clause[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of The Santa Clause's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
