THE RIDER is based on real events which happened in the Jandreau family, in particular to Brady Jandreau.
This is not mentioned in the article. Also, we aren't told how Brady's struggles came to the attention of
filmmakers. The film's action and story are presented almost as a documentary, and it would have been appropriate
at the end to have a written coda which described the Jandreaus' current living situation
and activities. Did they keep their home? Is Brady able to own a horse and ride again, to work
with taming colts? Did his hand function improve with time?
It would be good to know more about the development of this excellent film, and the continuing lives of
the Jandreaus.
