XFM Shows[edit]

Why get rid of the XFM shows? They need to be included - it's just as important, if not more important, than the podcast series, even if it's not as popular. Ricky, Steve and Karl had been doing this show in almost exactly the same show for over 4 years and there's no good reason not to include information on it there. I was even going to expand on it some more. "The Ricky Gervais Show" is not just the podcast, and I'm sure anyone who listened to the XFM shows will agree. Dav 10:09, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree and have reverted to the last version by Crzrussian. Most of the text removed by Feezo's "minor" edit was useful background to the show. johnSLADE (talk) 16:49, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

BBC Radio 1[edit]

Does anyone know any further info about their work at BBC Radio? All I know is from what the mention on the XFM show about them getting fired. Anyone have an further information?

"Early Shows"[edit]

Made changes to the Early Shows section (keeping naming consistancy, etc.). For future reference, Gervais worked at Xfm London, not Xfm, the latter being a collection of the three different stations.

The second paragraph of this section, however, is almost completely incorrect. Gervais and Merchant were never Radio 1 DJs; I'm currently looking for a source for this before editing the section. Gtpod 15:09, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Added Features[edit]

I moved up Educating Ricky from the "Notable Short-Lived Features" to the "Recurring Features" section, since it was a major part of some of the early shows, and also a platform for Karl to really shine. And it's also absolutely hilarious, some of the best stuff in the show ever.

Also added a section called "Fan Mail" where I wrote about Richard Anderson and Paul "The Party Animal" Parker, though that might have to be moved down f you disapprove. Also I tried to state the dates of some shows as sources, but it is pretty hard without the full transcripts, must be quite irritating editing this and Karl's main page a lot I imagine. :) --Hst20 19:00, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Video Podcasts[edit]

There are new episodes of the video podcast, these should be mentioned

Video Podcast Section[edit]

Needs cleaning up, I think. Needs to be less like a list of the video podcasts and more just a summing up of the video podcasts as a whole.

NME radio show[edit]

Why is there not more information/listing of the NME one-off show? Lots of information at http://www.pilkipedia.co.uk/wiki/index.php?title=NME_Radio_Show —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.25.109.195 (talk) 10:50, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

CD[edit]

There seems to be at least one release of this on CD. Can it be clarified in the article what series any releases on CD contain?--Darrelljon (talk) 11:30, 15 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Animated show[edit]

I have just seen a clip of the animated version of this and they have put a god-awful laugh track on it. Why on earth did they do that? Because they thought we'd be too stupid to know when to laugh otherwise? 81.157.194.110 (talk) 16:09, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There isn't a laugh track on the animated series. I can only assume the clip you saw was from Letterman or The Daily Show, and the laughter was from the studio audience watching the clip. Illuminattile (talk) 13:36, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Persecution of Pilkington[edit]

I think a significant aspect of the show is Merchant and esp. Gervais making fun of KP. Interestingly, they seem to be about as wrong as he is often, even as they laugh at him. Merchant thinks what The Elephant Man suffered from is elephantiasis; Gervais called Russian religious icons "iconoclasts" and the list goes on. They shd be set straight.--Jrm2007 (talk) 06:12, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Foodage[edit]

I'm just expressing my love for the person that redirected 'foodage' to this page. Great job. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.67.38.36 (talk) 00:04, 23 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Advertising?[edit]

There seems to be a degree of advertising in the external links of this page, namely for links 1, 4 and 5. Perhaps needs cleanup? 81.23.49.212 (talk) 04:36, 26 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

External link spam which I've now removed. --Twentiethil1986 (talk) 11:43, 26 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sponsors[edit]

Was wandering what it might be like to be the Mothman. It doesn't seem fair. He could be doing a video or something. How could someone get kicked off the show? Mothman probably could. Improving newspapers is a sure bet. Nostradamus apprentice <|>75.204.56.108 (talk) 03:14, 25 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Karls poetry[edit]

This was always a part of Karls diary and was never that important so should probably be included within that section rather than on its own. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.2.65.64 (talk) 20:38, 20 April 2012 (UTC) Yes this is true - I have made the changes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.11.77.197 (talk) 12:30, 22 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Extras[edit]

They've come up with several ideas in the XFM broadcasts that they later put into Extras. Masturbating over a naked lady pen and when Merchant bought a TV that was too big are some examples. Theres 1 or 2 more that I'll think up. I'm wondering if this should go in the article. Crzyclarks1 (talk) 20:35, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
