Advertisting[edit]

Wikipedia isn't for advertising, so I've deleted the header and text about the Fan Site, seeing as this isn't necessary in the slightest. The link already existed in the Other Links section. Alternate name[edit]

the red of soroman is not sourced anywhere, where did this come from, what explanation is there for this? is that the correct spelling even? could it be saruman like from lord othe rings instead?

It's a pseudonym the band sometimes uses, I believe primarily when they play local shows in Boston and play new songs. From what I can tell, the last time they did this was in February 2007. I'll add a bit of info to the "Name" section of the article to clarify this. Also, according to the flyers I've seen, they spell it Soromon. link Tdogg241 17:29, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Genre[edit]

I'm not going to get into an edit war over the genre here, but it's pretty pathetic to insist that "it is difficult to classify them as anything other than experimental". They're an emo band with some electronics. Big whoop. Have you ever heard any ACTUAL experimental music? Even the catch-all "indie" would be a better description. It is pretty amusing that, in defense of the "experimental" description, there are two citations: one is the band's "self-description" on Myspace, and the other is from the Boston Phoenix. The Phoenix link, however, is not to an article, but to a band-bio page for which the content (and genre indicators) are provided by the band and/or their publicity materials -- another "self description." I feel justified in noting this in the body of the article.

Experimental rock[edit]

I have removed the experimental rock genre from the infobox. The band itself cannot say what genre they belong under; that violates WP:V. Please do not re-add it without a reliable source. Thank you. — ^Fatal Error 21:56, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

EDIT: Actually, I have removed all of the paragraph except the first sentence. Like I said, the band's opinion does not matter. Also, the part about "progressive rock with an essence of post-hardcore" is original research. If someone can provide reliable sources about the band's genre, please do. Any other edits to the genre without an explanation here will be immediately reverted. Please review Wikipedia's policies before adding more objectionable content. To main authors of the page[edit]

Just a friendly recommendation that you scan WP:MOS (manual of style) to pick up tips on how to format the page.
