Categorization[edit]

I think this song is unfairly categorized as a Kylie Minogue song, especially when viewed in relation to the article's title. Gohst 10:27, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with this sentiment and have changed the information as much as possible.--Bmhcjs 08:02, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Text for this page is obviously copied from somewhere else. Article states "One of the stamps featured was the 'The Real Thing' stamp as illustrated to the left." yet there is no attached image of a stamp... dodgy... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.208.167.131 (talk) 00:21, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article states that the song hit the top of the charts in New York City; however, that is not the case. It never appeared on the charts of either WABC or WMCA, the only two Top 40/Pop radio stations in New York City at the time. RandyPNY (talk) 05:04, 7 January 2014 (UTC)RandyPNY[reply]

Dubious[edit]

The paragraphs about the Rock'n'roll stamps does not say "The Real Thing" is included, and, from what I can see in the archived reference, it is not mentioned there. As such, I think the whole paragraph and quote can be removed. Mark Hurd (talk) 13:22, 21 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Russell Morris' song "The Real Thing" was commerated on a postage stamp check this. There are easily other references to verify this. Dan arndt (talk) 13:59, 21 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Molly absconds with the masters[edit]

Costs escalated. EMI sacked Molly. EMI despatched two Sydney execs to Melbourne to seize the tapes.

Before the EMI dudes came, Meldrum grabbed the master tape and scurried to the park across the road. 2 went looking for him, (in the dark), and found him huddled under a bush clinging on to the tape. [1]
