Moved from article text[edit]

This contributor Special:Contributions/Irritated User can attest that the Australian Army used The Next of Kin as part of its training up until the mid 1960s (having often viewed the film in this context). Next of Kin was distributed in 16mm format along with other training films. (By the 1960s, film prints, presumably of WW-II vintage, had deteriorated so much from repeated use that their soundtracks had become almost indistinguishable—to the extent that during screenings officers would demand total silence and the full concentration of viewers).
