Death of Fred Mudd[edit]
Information about the untimely decease of Fred Mudd in Spain (where in Spain?) and the welfare of his children and, of course, his famous wife, Leila Williams ("Miss Great Britain" 1957) would be welcomed by their admirers. (Comment added by User:Mentorsmentor, 20 September 2007)
Jeff Mudd[edit]
I believe Jeff retired to Duloe, Cornwall (and now runs a pub in Looe?)

Fred and Leila.[edit]
In the 50s I used to play in a skiffle group with a regular booking at the pub that was owned by Leila's mother and step father,the"Wheatsheaf"in Walsall. One of our most requested songs was Lollipop,and one night we were playing it and Leila came in where we were playing,and she was singing Lollipop. A couple of weeks later we heard that she had got engaged to Fred,which was no surprise. I am sad to here of Freds death as they certainly had a unique sound which was instantly recognisable,no matter what they sang. All the best,Trevor Ingleby a lifelong fan.
