Criticism[edit]

I recently added the following to the Criticism section:

Forbes accused Young of hypocrisy because he uses insulin which is made with GMOs.[1]

User:Girth Summit [deleted] it, and commented, "Irrelevant - the subject of the article is the album itself, not the artist's medical history."

What do others here think of including or not including this in the article?

'Forbes' didn't accuse Young of anything. This is from a Forbes 'Contributor' - see Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Perennial_sources#Forbes.com_contributors. Articles of this sort are not reliable for assertions of fact (so it cannot support the assertion that he uses insulin), and they only denote the opinion of the specific author of the piece, who is not a member of Forbes staff, and is not writing on behalf of Forbes. The most you could say using this source would be 'Kavin Senapathy, a freelance writer, accused Young of hypocrisy' - which would very obviously be WP:UNDUE. If notable subject-matter experts or music critics have made this criticism, it might be relevant. Girth Summit (blether) 17:19, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
