Australian release[edit]

Why on earth does this omit Life on Earth? That seems a barmy decision. 86.132.141.139 (talk) 00:09, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

BBC Worldwide do not have rights for Life of Earth in this territory which is why it hasn’t been released on DVD in Australia. The Life Collection was released in Nov 07, this was before Life in Cold Blood had transmitted on television here and in the UK (UK transmission commenced 4/2/08 and DVD was released there on 25/2/08). The BBC traditionally don’t release DVDs before a series like this has transmitted on TV and that it is why it was not in the Life collection. Life in Cold Blood was released here in June 08 following broadcast. There is no claim on the Life Collection packaging of it being a complete collection – it clearly lists the titles that it contains and it’s certainly not the BBC’s intention to mislead consumers.

From ABC Shop Online commenting on "Life on Land" as it should also include "Life on Earth" Thealienamongus (talk) 07:31, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
