The dog

The dog's original name was Lifesaver, not Hero. "Hey mister, don't call that dog lifesaver, call him shithead!" —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 62.105.190.101 (talk) 10:30, 26 January 2007 (UTC).

"Stupid" in the TV version - That's silly, who cares what it has been censored to at certain times? Do lyrics for rap songs have a notice, "bleep in the radio version"? I doubt it. --TIB (talk) 09:13, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Song on the radio

I remain unsure whether the song Navin heard on the radio was actually perfomed by Lawrence Welk (though it certainly matches his style). The song is called "Crazy Rhythm" just in case anyone ever wants to do some research and perform a proper update. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.192.195.141 (talk) 14:09, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

a old negro spiritual

"Pick a Bale of Cotton" is not an "old negro spiritual". Spirituals sung in slave dialect were exactly that: spiritual. Songs that referenced God and stories of the bible. The song "Pick a Bale of Cotton" is not in this line at all. It should be correctly phrased as "a field worker tune from the slavery era" rather than "an old negro spiritual" which is inaccurate as well as offensive.

some quick edits

I'm removing some vandalism "fucks"

Surfbruddah (talk) 02:50, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

I added in specific reference to what Iron Balls called blacks when talking to Navin. Added the niggers reference. Didn't make sense why Navin would only get mad about "blacks". While it may be offensive, it was clearly stated in the movie and that's fact.

Condensing the plot

I'm just gonna be bold and prune this section way down, because I think it'll be an improvement; but if anyone disagrees and reverts, I won't try again.Vonbontee (talk) 09:43, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

This is getting to be retarded

We shouldn't ruin the fun for people who haven't seen the movie by explaining the entire plot. We need some sort of SPOILER WARNING template. When someone makes one, tell me. Aimsplode (talk) 18:30, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
