Merge?[edit]

Merge mania - has shown up here - no I don't think this should happen just develop the articles, show notability, critical reviews, comment, verifablility, all the usuals. 13:39, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

The individual volumes of The Iron Tower aren't, by themselves, novels. McKiernan didn't write The Iron Tower to be a trilogy; it was the choice of a publisher to issue it in three volumes. If another publisher brings it out in four volumes or in two volumes or in twelve volumes, should these volumes have separate articles? —SlamDiego←T 20:09, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Criticism section is problematic[edit]

In what way does the origin of the Iron Tower negate the fact that it is a blatant rip-off of Lord of the Rings? The publisher wanted to write a sequel to LotR, were denied by Tolkien's estate, so they went ahead and had McKiernan write a surrogate LotR instead. It's still a rip-off, and criticisms of it as such are entirely valid. 82.9.241.114 (talk) 00:44, 21 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
