Hollow Man[edit]

The movie Hollow Man from 2000 was made as a modern retelling of H. G. Wells' story, ...but it's not outright called Invisible Man to be more distinct. It is definitely considered an adaptation. It's even called as such on The Invisible Man (disambiguation). Also it has a sequel Hollow Man 2. It's a 2 movie film series adaptation of Invisible Man. Should it be on this page? I think it qualifies. --89.142.71.74 (talk) 21:48, 3 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't seen the films being mentioned in the same breath, but if do some research and see if anyone does connections between them. Andrzejbanas (talk) 18:06, 6 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Split[edit]

I've done some major re-working of this page. These films outside their title connection have very little to do with each other (as shown now with the prose) and as there is indeed a new invisible man film, I'd suggest it be moved elsewhere as it has very little connection to the previous series outside borrowing elements from the HG Wells novel. Beyond this, they aren't really related, not in any way the article suggests. It's also a presumptions to blanket it as a new series when it only has one sequel in the works. I think I'd lean towards it that Invisible Man hasn't been adapted too many times in film. Unlike Dracula or Frankenstein, Hammer never adapted the novel, and other adaptations since have been far and relatively unrelated. Like, the Universal series at least connects a bit together via Griffin. Any other adpations I feel like could be in a legacy section of the Universal section and any mention of their connection (if any) can be brought up there. So there hasn't been a lot of further discussion on this topic, but I noticed during the recent split of Universal Classic Monsters and The Dark Universe, that the article for the latter "series" was put into a draft article by @Rusted AutoParts:. I don't disagree with him on his move as that "series" only contained one film at the moment. I feel the same would happen if we split the current section up. I propose just having the 2020 film section have it's own article which we can include any information on here that's not there at that article (if relevent). Either that, or move this section into a draft page and wait for a second film in that series if it ever comes. Thoughts @Erik: and @*Treker:? Andrzejbanas (talk) 19:31, 21 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

As there has been no major discussion from any other users or users i've tagged and discussed this with in weeks, i'll be moving the second part of the article to the 2020 films article. Andrzejbanas (talk) 06:52, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
