Origin on the Band's Name?[edit]

Anyone know where the bands name came from or how they chose it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.136.31.82 (talk) 19:48, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's explained in the article. It comes from a nickname for the melodica. Badagnani (talk) 04:22, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Even from way over here in the UK, I'm pretty sure that in the US a slang term for a part of the female anatomy is HOOTERS ?!? Thegraciousfew (talk) 15:50, 26 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
So what? That doesn't mean that the band's name has to come from this meaning of the word hooter. It has some other meanings, too.--Sylvia Anna (talk) 18:50, 26 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Live Aid[edit]

It says here that The Hooters were the opening band of the Philly Live Aid concert. But in the listing in the Live Aid concert article two acts are listed as having played before them. So what is correct? Any sources?--Sylvia Anna (talk) 18:58, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Planning on making changes[edit]

I am planning to add some new content for this page include the release of their album in 2017 and mentioning some of their stateside concerts and events. I just wanted to check to see if there was anyone who objects to changes being made. ZoeyLenore (talk) 19:58, 4 October 2019 (UTC) ZoeyLenore[reply]
