Man Door Hand Hook Car Door[edit]

Does that old meme deserve a mention in the article? Fairly certain that's what it was inspired by, and it was insanely popular back in the day. I think that this story should have been newer because hooks are very uncommon and a person escapeing from prison would be cool.

Spoiling the moment![edit]

It is not explained why anyone, mad though they be, would use their hook hand rather than their functional hand to manipulate objects.
I reckon that just spoils the whole "creepiness" of the Hookman story.

Two legends[edit]

I think the legend bout the boyfriend hanging above the car is different from the legend of the hook and should have its own page. I'm pretty sure they're considered seperate legends and not two versions of the same.

Expansion and significance[edit]

This article is severely underdeveloped and is missing a great deal of information on its subject, it should be expanded, with more information on the legend and variations of it, its origins, and references in popular culture because of its significance. In the article it says the legend is a classic, from what I see so far there is no proof of that in the article nor it is it expanded to it's full capacity to show it. What? Nothing about Peter Pan's Captain Hook?[edit]

"Peter Pan; or, the Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up or Peter and Wendy is J. M. Barrie's most famous work, in the form of a 1904 play and a 1911 novel."
