Can we have a Novels Talk Page box?[edit]

There is a plot summary, and extensive description of the setting in history of this story with religious tension and troubadours, with a saint's relics travelling across England unaware.

Fine-boned Winifred[edit]

It is a little confusing, that slender Winifred and strong Columbanus should be mixed up in their small coffin. Warner Books Edition from 1994(?), p 72: "Not very large, if coffin it really is; whoever lies in it was fine-boned and slender." Well, from the beginning in "A Morbid Taste for Bones" Columbanus was well-built and tall. That is a small problem. I think that is how the author intended this, when Cadfael interfered with Prior Robert's mission of the first novel. Cadfael thinks he knows whose bones are in there, but he never opens the box to know it. He relies on his faith. The box was carried by strong people the times it has been moved, and they do not know what weight to expect. He is relieved that the seal was not opened in the escapade of this novel. --Prairieplant (talk) 01:11, 17 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
the bones would not have been laid out in the form of a human. In A Morbid Taste for Bones, comment is made on how heavy the casket was. Cadfael clearly knows that Columbanus's corpse is there, and he oversaw the burial of the Saint's bones in the same grave as whatsisname, the Welsh lord. 142.163.194.24 (talk) 02:38, 17 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

better link for tv adaptation[edit]

the link to novels made into tv shows doesn't even mention THT. This link is better: Cadfael (TV series) --142.163.194.24 (talk) 02:40, 17 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
