External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on The Growlers. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Current status of Scott Montoya and Anthony Braun Perry.[edit]

There appears to be a contradiction in that these two individuals are perhaps not touring with the current set up, however management denies that they have left the band. Are there any reliable sources that confirm this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Karst (talkcontribs) 19:44, 21 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Rape and assault allegations[edit]

Remember, these allegations are quite new and still developing. Always adhere to WP:BLP (especially WP:NPOV) when making edits to said topics. JCBird1012 (talk) 19:24, 21 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your additions. I'm not sure whether the length and amount of detail is WP:DUE considering all we have at this point is a handful of anonymous (?) claims made on social media (and reported by reliable sources). I'm not at all saying we shouldn't cover the issue but it seems a bit much, the section takes up about a fifth of the whole article. What do you think? Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 23:40, 21 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I agree it is a bit lengthy - WP:BALASP should (probably) help with guidance there. I can take a stab at condensing down the material that still ensures the allegations are properly presented (albeit in less detail) and I'll run it by here before those changes are pushed. Thanks for the point out. JCBird1012 (talk) 02:43, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, that guideline is very fitting. That would be great. :-) Robby.is.on (talk) 07:46, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Just wanted to weigh in here that while I can totally understand why WP:BALASP could mean that there should not be so much weight given to the allegations, it also seems that the band has gotten a disproportionate amount of coverage and attention for the allegations compared to their music recently - so I wouldn't want to reduce it too much and risk not giving the allegations due weight or simplifying them too much to be making judgements about the allegations instead of reporting what has been said. Not agreeing nor disagreeing but based on the pageviews for The Growlers, there's been a significant spike over the past two days. This coverage seems to be driving that - whether or not we can still justify if it fits WP:DUE is still up in the air. Regardless, I'll work on rewriting and condensing it and we can still discuss whether those changes should be made. JCBird1012 (talk) 13:42, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Whelp, looks like KidAd made these decisions for us. JCBird1012 (talk) 18:21, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry about that. I didn't check the talk page before I made the changes. Would you prefer that I self-revert? KidAd (💬💬) 18:25, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
No, I think you’re fine. Your edits were where the general discussion were going anyways so I’m fine with how you made them! You did a good job summarizing everything. JCBird1012 (talk) 21:12, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
