Correcting Age[edit]

According to the Wikipedia Article on Helen Keller, she wrote the Frost King at age 11. In this article, she wrote it at age 12. According to "The Story of My Life" by Helen keller (http://digital.library.upenn.edu/women/keller/life/life.html), she wrote it the Autumn after she learned to speak. She learned to speak in Spring of 1890, and was born on June 27, 1880. By my calculations, she would have been 10 years old in the Autumn of 1890, meaning both articles are wrong about her age.\ Looking for someone else to double-check my math. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Smearp (talkcontribs) 17:38, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Some things to fix[edit]

Some things to fix (for starters):

  • The first subsection is titled Official version, but it is not clear what makes this official; I think this needs to be renamed.
  • The first paragraph of this section says that "the following is the explanation provided by Keller and Anne Sullivan to the public...". It is not clear what paragraphs constitute "the following": the next paragraph? the rest of the section? This needs to be made clear.

Okay, I changed these things. Doctormatt 20:12, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bias[edit]

The whole section from "Keller stated that she remembered nothing of this and was devastated that people she had loved and trusted would accuse her of lying" to "This attitude might well have annoyed members of the faculty..." reeks of bias towards Keller and does not have a single citation. I'm rewording it.Terukiyo (talk) 18:57, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy should be mentioned in lede[edit]

The controversy needs to be mentioned in the lede, even if only as a single sentence. It is definitely significant enough that a reader who just comes in to read the basic summary of the topic in the two introductory paragraphs should be made aware of it. 184.66.86.4 (talk) 07:19, 23 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
