Failed "good article" nomination[edit]

The following is the reasons for this article failure to achieve the status "Good Article". It has been hidden to save room.
The following discussion has been closed. Please do not modify it.

This article failed good article nomination. This is how the article, as of September 23, 2006, compares against the six good article criteria:

1. Well written?: Good here. But what is "other" under discography? Other what? DVD? single? Music video? Podcast? In the singles chart, the individual chart names should be in small print (<small>)
2. Factually accurate?: Superb. Very well referenced.
3. Broad in coverage?: OK here. The band is still so new. Most bios or band pages have a selected events section. Can you have a section with other itmes, like arrests,, charity events, etc...
4. Neutral point of view?: yep!
5. Article stability? This is hte biggest area of failure. A good article should be perfect as is. However, this has a whole section named "Current events." Thats another way of saying "This section is is going to be obsolete soon." While most articles about people require regular updating, every effort should be made to phrase things in a way that if it were neglected for a while, a reader wouldn't feel like the article sounds dated. For example, this sentence needs updating "On September 19, they will release a CD/DVD set with exclusive content." The current events section should be merged with the section "How to Save a Life (late 2005–early 2006)" and that section should be just be named "How to Save a Life" Most band life cycles are one album or tour to the next.
6. Images?: good.
I addressed the above suggestions aside from the the "selected events". Since the band is still pretty new, there haven't been too many major award nominations, charity events, or other stuff of that nature. Should such things happen, I'll add a section for it, but I think the article should wait-and-see as far as that's concerned. Thanks for the input, though. When these issues are addressed, the article can be resubmitted for consideration. Thanks for your work so far. --Esprit15d 12:28, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good article nomination[edit]

This article seems to be right on to me, but it lacks enough references in the How to Save a Life section. Fix that, and I would pass it. -- Cielomobile talk / contribs 00:33, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I cited what I could. If you need me to, I can dig up the charts on all of those Billboard peaks, but no one would be able to see them without a subscription anyway. Teemu08 01:22, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • You don't necessarily need to dig up the charts, but if you could refer to some kind of source that verifies its chart positions, that would be nice. If that's done, I'll definitely pass it. -- Cielomobile talk / contribs 01:49, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
