Proposed major edits[edit]

ARIA Hall of Fame act should have a B-class or better article: consequently I will be making major edits to this article and intend to include reliable sources and provide a neutral tone. Interim edits may look disorganised or incomplete and may take about a week.shaidar cuebiyar ( talk | contribs ) 04:18, 27 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

My major edits are largely finished, more copyediting may be needed. The alleged ARIA award (see below) will likely be deleted.shaidar cuebiyar ( talk | contribs ) 00:27, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ARIA Award winner?[edit]

I've placed a {{fact}} plate on the sentence:

They won 'Best Australian Group Album' at the Australian Music Awards and 'Best Group Vocal Album' at the ARIA awards.

I see that this sentence is found at the Milesago article on The Dingoes (see here), which I've used as a reference in other parts of this article and generally consider it to be reliable.

My problem is that ARIA did not exist until 1983 and did not provide any awards until 1987 (see here).

Clearly, The Dingoes album, The Dingoes, could not have won an ARIA award in 1974. Perhaps it is some other music award?

I can't find any other reliable source for either of the two awards in the above sentence.shaidar cuebiyar ( talk | contribs ) 23:26, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Since no source has been provided for this disputed sentence, I am now going to delete it.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 02:32, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
