The Clique is a book series by Lisi Harrison.www.lisiharrison.net The series is about a clique of rich, popular girls in Westchester, New York. The new girl from Florida comes to town, and with her Gap clothes, she gets made fun of by these girls who live for Prada and Juicy Couture.

That's covered in The Clique (novel). See the link at the top of the main page.Paul B (talk) 13:16, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone add to the article information concerning the name? Did they refer to themselves as the Clique, or by others? Who first called them that (themselves, other artists, critics etc). Why call them this? Was it pejorative at the time? Thanks, Slrubenstein | Talk 18:33, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It was a name they called themselves, as recorded in Frith's autobiography and an article published in the Art Journal in 1898. Secondary sources on the subject includes Christopher Wood's Dictionary of Victorian Artists, Graham Reynolds' Victorian Painters, the London Museum Catalogue of Artist's Colonies.
