Fair use rationale for Image:ThePrydainChronicles.jpg[edit]

Image:ThePrydainChronicles.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Name of article[edit]

A short time ago an editor moved this article from "The Chronicles to Prydain" to "The Prydain Chronicles", stating that (going by the title on the image) this was the correct title. In fact, it's the image that is incorrect. The publisher's site, here, calls them "Chronicles of Prydain", while Google returns 61,300 hits for "Chronicles of Prydain" and 40,900 for "Prydain Chronicles". Amazon.com is another source that lists them as "Chronicles of Prydain". As such, it makes sense to move them back. Frickeg (talk) 07:03, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request for comment on articles for individual television episodes and characters[edit]

A request for comments has been started that could affect the inclusion or exclusion of episode and character, as well as other fiction articles. Please visit the discussion at Wikipedia_talk:Notability_(fiction)#Final_adoption_as_a_guideline. Ikip (talk) 11:11, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Scholastic interview[edit]

Lloyd Alexander Interview Transcript (1999)[interview date evidently 1999-01-26: "I will be 75 in another four days"]. Interview with Scholastic students. Scholastic Inc.

This long interview will be valuable especially re Prydain. There are multiple exchanges on Prydain, Westmark, Time Cat, and general matters. Some other stories are mentioned once. --P64 (talk) 20:39, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Film adaptation[edit]

The Black Cauldron (film) provides sloppy references but some may be valuable here.

Where this article cites cost $40M, that article gives cost $25M (yet, the most expensive in history); North America box office gross $21M.--P64 (talk) 00:30, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Kirkus Reviews appreciation (2012)[edit]

"In Appreciation of Assistant Pig-Keepers", Vicki Smith, Kirkus Reviews, 2012-03-09.

Kirkus Reviews online may know my local public library ID, or even my wikipedia ID with Bill Gates' help. I've previously worked on this article from the LPL network, and a thumbnail for that "Appreciation" popped up when I visited another review at Kirkus a few minutes ago. I'm unhappy about that, in general, but the Appreciation may help our Prydain coverage. --P64 (talk) 17:51, 11 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Character Separation[edit]

Some of these characters in the series are major enough that they should have their own articles. For example The Horned King, Arawn Death-Lord, and Taran are just a few examples that really need to have their own articles. It's kind of sad to see the state of this article as it is under developed and under-referenced and a lot more work needs to be done to this article so that it meets Wikipiedia's standards of a well developed article.--Paleface Jack (talk) 18:37, 7 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Anyone familiar with this series care to add it to this list?[edit]

Types of mythological or fantastic beings in contemporary fiction is a page of, well, fantasy series (movie, TV, written, whatever) and the assorted mythological and/or fantastic critters they contain. This series would probably qualify. Anyone care to add it? Tamtrible (talk) 09:33, 26 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Prodded by Piotrus as not notable. Deprodded and proposed merge per ATD/R. —S Marshall T/C 22:10, 26 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I am not opposed to merge and redirect, although I'll note that [[Orddu, Orwen and Orgoch[edit | edit source]]] is a pure plot summary with no references. As such, I'd just boldly redirect it without deleting nor merging. I won't revert anyone who'll try to merge something, but keep WP:OR in mind. Works for me. Dan Bloch (talk) 16:29, 27 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@S Marshall @Danbloch Per above, I am going to boldly redirect this, given it still has no references. I'll also leave a note on the talk page of the target, so some future editors may be aware there is some text here for them to review. PS. Note is this discussion, I guess, so...
