WBAP?[edit]

Note: there was also a TV show of the same name hosted by Bill Kelley in Dallas, Texas. One source is this page, but the page incorrectly lists it as being at WBAP-5 instead of KXAS-5. This needs disambiguation. A more experienced editor than I will need to figure out the namespace for two identically named tv shows of the same genre, and stub with this info, please? --Markzero 18:18, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed it. Moved the page to "The Children's Hour (Boston children's television series)". However, the Dallas page also deserves information. I made a very brief stub, but anyone is welcome to expand. --Schmendrick (talk) 18:46, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FWIW, WBAP was the original name of the station now known as KXAS. The name change occurred in 1974, so since the show originated around 1970, it would have aired first on the one, then on the other. Lawikitejana (talk) 05:32, 25 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This was placed on the article itself by a Sheridan Sanders (no user profile available). I posted it here out of courtesy, and weaved information into the article.

My parents always told me this program was to keep us happy while they got ready for church in peace. The host would always take time to do a drawing of a cartoon, show some cartoons, and of course there would always be an episode of "Davey and Goliath." I did look forward to the person from the zoo. He also had a person from "The Children's Museum" as it was called then. Now it is known as "The Museum of Science and History."

Host Before Kelley?[edit]

I do not think that Bill Kelley was the first host for The Children's Hour, but probably the best known and longest tenured. In the early WBAP years (circa 1968-1972), the series had a local artist named Helmut/Helmuth, who drew during the show, serving as a de facto co-host. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.21.17.138 (talk) 14:10, 12 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
