Sources needed. Rewrite, too.[edit]

This article is a quote from what the school says about itself. We need confirmation from outside sources - articles, books, newspapers. See WP:REF. And a lot of the stuff listed here just isn't interesting. Someone who knows something about the school should reformat it until it conforms to WP:NPOV. --Alvestrand 21:27, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

-Yeah, this reads like an advertisement. The Irvine campus is close to Disneyland? That's not important compared to what the school has to offer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.164.35.150 (talk) 19:25, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

==Neutrality & Reads like an Advertisement Tag== Can we throw up a neutrality of this article disputed icon? This is almost a copy and paste from their website that looks like an advertisement. I went there. The school has more money than it knows what to do with and expanding as fast as the University of Phoenix in its early years. The quality of the teaching is horrendous, they false advertise to incoming students, they use deceptive practices, install new expensive technology EVERY year because it's in their budget as a non-for profit that they can't NOT spend. I'm not trying to chop up the article, but a neutrality of this article is disputed.

Fair use rationale for Image:Cspp logo.jpg[edit]

Image:Cspp logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Nehmer Should Be Blocked[edit]

A majority of recent edits, including expanding the article to advertise for the school and burying the lack of APA accreditation deep in the article were done by Nehmer, whose full name Matt Nehmer whose official title is Senior Director of Communications and Special Assistant to the President for the Chicago School Foundation, the parent entity of the school which handles all the investments of charitable gifts. At the very least, this article needs a "The Neutrality of This Article Is Disputed" logo on the top given how much work an employee and assistant to the president has put into the the page (Source: http://www.tcsfound.org/?page=foundation_staff) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.249.214.247 (talk) 18:38, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think Nehmer should be blocked. As the director of communications, he is in a good position to provide information about the institution. Also, TCS Foundation no longer exists and at no time was the parent institution of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Sean.nufer (talk) 18:39, 24 September 2012 (UTC)sean.nufer[reply]

Neutrality Disputed Request[edit]

This school has been using this page as an advertisement for years. A neutrality of this article tag should be applied to this article because the bias presented in the information is being ingested by students prior to making important decisions regarding schools, and having bad information from Wikipedia before taking out large student loans is not in line with the goals of Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.14.180.104 (talk) 23:02, 13 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Updating[edit]

I am thinking of trying to update and possibly source some of the info on this page properly. Just wanted to know if there was any feedback? There are a number of issues with the language that need to be update as well. ScienceAdvisor (talk) 21:12, 6 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I've done some work to bring this page into wikipedia guidelines. I've added a bunch of references, removed some incendiary and inappropriate language and moved the lawsuit info to a section below. I've checked and all their campuses are accredited. Since the lawsuit is over 10 years since it was filed, it was settled, and all the campuses are accredited.. i moved the lawsuit info to the appropriate titled section. The school now has over 5,600 students (6,000 from their website), I believe their notability now comes from their enrollment rather than just a lawsuit. Also, i checked wikipedia pages that link to this page and created a list of notable alumni. Any information added to this article should be sourced and written from a neutral point of view per wikipedia guidelines. I also removed references to press releases since they are not viable as references per wikipedia. ScienceAdvisor (talk) 21:47, 8 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
