Plot Edit: "Against the backdrop... "[edit]
I've removed "Against the backdrop of the British public school system, which sent upper-class children away from their families to boarding schools around age six or seven..." from the "Plot" section, as it has nothing to do with anything beyond the two women mentioning - once - that they were at school together. This is anything but a "backdrop". Will re-write the plot summary at some point in the future (read "soon to never").
