Copyright status[edit]

I have again deleted the link to the illicit hosting of this British film on Internet Archive. Director Alfred Zeisler did not die until 1985, so UK copyright subsists until the end of 2055. As a non-US film still under copyright in its country of origin on 1 January 1996, it is protected in the US for 95 years after publication, so to the end of 2031. Title[edit]

This article could be better titled. According to the poster in the article it was billed as Cary Grant: The Amazing Adventure. Also, The opening lead identifies it as a "remake of the 1920 film The Amazing Quest of Mr. Ernest Bliss, which is very closely titled.

The film is currently (at least so far this month) on Prime as The Amazing Adventure, a 1927 comedy-drama.

The suggested title far more follows policy:

Recognizability,

Naturalness,

Precision

Concision

Consistency

A review uses Amazing Adventure but informs readers to watch the 1:01:52 movie "The Amazing Adventure". At the bottom of that article it does include, "The picture may also have been released under the title": "Romance & Riches" or "The Amazing Quest of Ernest Bliss" or "A Rich Young Man".
Wikipedia's apparently beloved IMDb (on so many articles, needed or not) uses The Amazing Adventure (1936)
Three Movie Buffs uses "Amazing Adventure". Note: The site may or may not be reliable. It is certainly confusing. There are four reviewers that pretty much pan the movie while giving it four stars across the board.
MUBI uses, "The Amazing Adventure"
AV Club uses "The Amazing Adventure".

Yes, with all the above I could "boldly" change it which would likely not be contested. In the Wikipedia world someone inevitably will object with or without a reasonable rationale. This often times creates unnecessary layers of work. Otr500 (talk) 09:44, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
