Does this deserve its own article?[edit]

I've cleaned this article quite a bit, but it seems like the Game Boy version does not really need its own entry and could be merged into Tetris. I acknowledge that this port was important for the game's popularity, but most of the information for this game is already on the main page. --Jacquismo 02:41, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disagree - Tetris is one of the most important games for the Game Boy. It had a huge influence on the popularity of this video game system. No merge. --Abdull 19:17, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Also disagree. It's the game that initiated Tetris into its huge popularity. 68.222.41.105 05:25, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

B-type music[edit]

is the b-type music original to Tetris or is it based on a known song?

Thanks, --Abdull 19:20, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Music section[edit]

While I agree the quality of the section as it stands isn't great, it seems to me that there needs to be SOME note about the music -- Type A has practically become THE Tetris music, no matter the game that so much other music has been used in other games. ♫ Melodia Chaconne ♫ (talk) 04:49, 3 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It was more a "this really needs to be rewritten and the tracks feel unnecessary" than "RARGH NO SECTION PERIOD". I only removed it as a whole because it could probably be better started off with some sources and whatnot from scratch.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 04:51, 3 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a source on the A-Type music being different in "version 1.0"? The article doesn't even otherwise address multiple versions that I can see. --DMAJohnson (talk) 21:53, 22 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Screenshot[edit]

clear image with wrong colors...
File:Tetrisgb.jpg
...or slightlly blurred image with correct colors?

I replaced the screenshot File:GB Tetris.png with File:Tetrisgb.jpg, because the colors more accurtately match the orginal gameboy colors, but the change was reverted, because the old file lookes "clearer". I know my file has some jpg compression artifacts and it is also bigger than the original size, so it doesn't look as clear as the other file, but imho it is still better, because the artifacts are only slightly and the color difference is very big on the other file from the original gameboy colors, because it is grey instead of the green from the Game Boy Classic. --MrBurns (talk) 18:10, 22 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Software versions.[edit]

There are at least two versions, 1.0 and 1.1, with 1.1 having the famous music and 1.0 not having it. The article should really have some cited information regarding this, considering the importance of this title. SmallEditsForLife (talk) 18:11, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
