A Consumer's Dictionary of Food Additives says ingesting 5 grams of TBHQ can be fatal and that one gram can cause dizzyness and nausea. Has anyone else heard/read this from any other sources?? 82.93.133.130 15:06, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Seems someone removed one of the sources and I've removed the other. Replacements weren't found as there isn't much info out there on TBHQ. Regardless I ask everyone to refrain from citing diet blogs and such in the article. 35drake (talk) 14:38, 6 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Cannot find evidence of a TBHQ ban[edit]

There is a sentence on this page that states TBHQ has been banned in Japan and some European countries. I've scoured the internet but cannot find any reliable source to confirm this (perhaps because I'm only searching in English?). I've only found a couple sources that say it is approved in the EU.

So, I'm going to delete the statement that TBHQ is banned. The only cited source on the page now seems to be a relatively unreliable diet magazine that is now a dead link.

If anyone finds good evidence of a ban, feel free to un-delete the statement and expand on it if possible. Please reply to me as well since I'm curious where such evidence would be found. 35drake (talk) 14:32, 6 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
