New Template Format[edit]

NPOV about athletes versus academics?[edit]

In regards to this quote added to the article today by anonymous IP user 70.68.123.234 (talk · contribs):

Not known for Academics it has nevertheless produced many skilled athletes.

While it may not exactly violate NPOV, it isn't worded perfectly neutral either. I think a list of past graduate athletes combined with a bit of re-wording could help the article. --Stephane Charette 23:04, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Date school was named[edit]

I'm looking for some verification of the actual date the school was named. The school website states it was named January 18, 1986, but I would have bet money that the name wasn't changed until AFTER the class of 87 graduated, and that the class of 88 were the first grads from Terry Fox Senior Secondary. I've made it a bit of a pet project of mine to find the official date that the school was named. I haven't actually contacted SD 43 or the school itself because I figure they'll just quote me the incorrect date on the school website. I have learned that in Feb 1986, it was announced that the name would change officially on July 1 1986 (Coquitlam Now, Feb 4, 1986, page2), but at the Feb 11, 1986, SD43 meeting, school board trustees had second thoughts because of negative feedback from the community. They decided to review the decision at a future meeting (Coquitlam Now, Feb 18, 86). I am looking for verification of the July 1, 1986 date that was announced.Lainyg 20:06, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Provincial Championships & Terry Fox Alumni[edit]

Just made some minor changes to these two sections. I plugged the information into a table setting rather than the list form it was in before.
