Actually, it's the other way around! Terence Davies' official website took this text, with some alterations, for its biography page when it went online in 2008. A great honour for those of us who worked on that text. --Chips Critic (talk) 08:15, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ah. I thought that might be the case after I posted but it's hard to tell which came first . The intro to this article felt a little non-NPOV/ uncited from third party refs to me but not enough that I'm going to make a big issue of it. I wish someone would correct the "acting career" at IMDB. Have they mixed him up with another Terrence Davies?

It's emblematic of Wikipedia's weaknesses that we have, here, a policy-based criticism from someone who couldn't be bothered to sign their comment, and wasn't interested enough in the subject to check the correct spelling of Terence Davies's name, which would have been directly before their eyes as they typed. --Chips Critic (talk) 08:15, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"British Usage" vs. good usage[edit]

On 11 January 2018 the text was amended to use an additional 's' on Davies' name when forming a possessive, the reason being that such usage is 'British English' form. It may be correct in some circles, but it makes for awkward reading in the present article, and [apparently] users were happy with the previous incarnation from the time of inception until 2018. I am going to revert the article to its original format, to improve its readability. If somebody disagrees with this, please discuss here so WP editors may reach a concensus before we wade into an edit war. Thanks.67.2.210.67 (talk) 20:59, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
