Out of date[edit]

I don't know much about the TBR, but this is clearly out of date. It does not discuss the legislative changes of 2010, and it does not identify the current Chancellor. --Orlady (talk) 20:04, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Status of TBR's universities[edit]

The status of the six state universities is somewhat unclear now that they have their own governing boards. TBR's website notes that it includes six univerities but doesn't include them on its list of institutions, however it does include them on the page on its website showing tuition at each of its institutions. Governor Haslam's statement on the universities getting boards notes that "The six state universities under TBR would have increased autonomy by transitioning from sole TBR oversight to a new model that would include a local governing board. These boards would appoint the campus president, manage the university budget and set tuition, and oversee other operational tasks. TBR would continue to provide key administrative support to the six state universities." [1]

My understanding is that the universities, while being governed by their own boards, are still technically part of the TBR system, so I tried to make the article reflect that. 2601:3C2:8003:C920:78E8:2552:E519:9461 (talk) 03:59, 17 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
