Commented out[edit]

I commented out the parts of the article that pertain more to Sámuel Teleki than the library itself. If there's useful information there, it can be merged into his biography article. LeaHazel : talk : contribs 19:07, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

categories[edit]

Super,

I hope you noticed the Romanian category is about present-day Romania, in which the library could not have been established, the Hungarian category has the same problem, hence I removed.(KIENGIR (talk) 07:10, 20 February 2021 (UTC))[reply]

If we take that perspective, there are thousands of articles with these types of categories that should be deleted for historical accuracy. I prefer to interpret that the categories have a broader meaning. When the library was established, it was in Hungary, so the Hungarian establishments category does not need to be deleted. However, that library is now in Romania, so we also need a similar category for Romania. If the library for some reason became part of, let's say, Serbia, we would remove the Romanian category and add a Serbian one. I think the current version is fine and needs no changes. I understand your approach, however the categories are ill construed, even they have been done once by good faith, but our platform there are a plenty of errors done once by good faith, so just because thousands of categories are made possibly by mistake, it should not prevent us from repairing them.(KIENGIR (talk) 22:00, 21 February 2021 (UTC))[reply]
I don't really understand what do you mean here. I don't see the creation of those categories as mistakes, I think that kind of categories are useful. Super Ψ Dro 23:35, 21 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I did not speak about the creation, I meant their erroneous definition.(KIENGIR (talk) 05:30, 23 February 2021 (UTC))[reply]
