Proposed merger of Tekno Autosports and PremiAir Racing[edit]

PremiAir Racing is not a new team, but a continuation of Tekno Autosports under new ownership, same RECs, same cars, at least some of the former personnel. Propose PremiAir Racing be merged into the establsihed Tekno Autosports article and then renamed PremiAir Racing. Carliouts (talk) 00:52, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose It is a new team, the Tekno brand does more than motorsport (vehicle tuning etc.) and the Webb family still own that – PremiAir is a separate company with a separate owner (Xiberras) taking over the assets. As further proof, the Tekno drivers are still currently contracted to Tekno. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:8003:3B3A:7E00:8904:14A:47F2:464A (talk) 04:35, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Opppose By precedent, when teams have 100% changed hands they are counted as a new team - e.g. Kelly to Grove, Briggs to Triple 8, Perkins to Kelly, Stones to Erebus etc. regardless of common infrastructure/cars/personnel etc. SchueyFan (talk) 13:01, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Comment, as nominator now that further information has become available that only certain assets will be transferring, agree the two are separate entities and separate articles are justified. Carliouts (talk) 06:33, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Opppose It's a new team with its own history now. Tekno is now in the past and PremiAir Racing is a brand new entity. Kinda stupid to keep PremiAir under Tekno if it has nothing to do with the latter. Hiflex480 (talk) 09:10, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
