speedy deletion[edit]

This article should be deleted. The subject matter, a theater group, lacks notability. The article actually seems to be spam to support a software product called RAMP. GroveGuy (talk) 09:23, 4 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This page should not be speedy deleted because...[edit]

Teatro Avante is a notable part of the cultural landscape of Miami's Little Havana neighborhood. It has received funding from the National Endowment for the Arts and is responsible for organizing Miami's annual International Hispanic Theatre Festival. Although the page was created using the RAMP editor, its purpose is not to promote the software, which is merely a tool for helping librarians and archivists semiautomatically create and edit Wikipedia pages. The software itself is open source, and its citation templates exist purely for the purpose of providing proper license statements and source attribution. If the way the attribution information has been presented gives the appearance of spam, it can certainly be changed (for example, instead of using a front-end citation template, the licensing information could be added as a wikitext comment). The current approach was adopted for the sake of clarity, so that readers would know where the text was coming from, and it follows Wikipedia guidelines for Granting permission to copy material already online. --Timathom (talk) (COI) 14:07, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
