Clean up language in intro. "United States President Trump" and not "Trump" the first time you refer to him

Logo?[edit]

Is there a logo affiliated with this march that can be added to the infobox? ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:38, 8 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

One has been added, so I'm marking this section as resolved. ---Another Believer (Talk) 23:28, 15 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Title discussion[edit]

I have been actively editing this article over the last couple of days, and none of the major news sources I've seen have referred to this event as "Tax Day March" or "Trump's Tax Day". All have simply called it the "Tax March", which is also the name on the official website. Was the title "Tax Day March" originally chosen to prevent confusion with unrelated events (as there have been tax-related protests in various places throughout history)? There is no Tax March article on Wikipedia currently, but to prevent confusion (and avoid US-centrism) I'd suggest the title of 2017 Tax March instead, which I've also used as a title for the Commons category. I know that category is empty as of this writing, but I hope there will be at least photos from San Francisco in there by evening, assuming my camera doesn't break Funcrunch (talk) 18:01, 15 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Plantlady223 and Another Believer: Pinging on this discussion. Funcrunch (talk) 18:03, 15 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'd support a move to Tax March. IMO, no need for the "2017" disambiguator unless there are other articles of similar name. ---Another Believer (Talk) 23:00, 15 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@MB298: Since you created a redirect to here from Tax March and also moved the Commons category to 2017 Tax Day March, do you have an opinion to share on the naming of this article? Funcrunch (talk) 00:19, 16 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Funcrunch: I renamed the commons category for consistency with the article; but would be fine either way. MB298 (talk) 00:44, 16 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Another Believer and MB298: I'm not opposed to using simply Tax March for this article if no one thinks that will be a problem. But since there's now a redirect with that title I'd rather someone else deal with the move so I don't break things. I just finished editing and uploading 60 pix to Commons (to the SF march category) and have no more energy to work on this article tonight... (If a move happens, the lead and infobox will need to be edited accordingly, and of course the article needs a lot more updating which I'll work on tomorrow if no one else gets to it first.) Funcrunch (talk) 07:27, 16 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I moved the page to Tax March. ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:56, 16 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Restructure?[edit]

Is anyone opposed to me restructuring this article so that there are only subsections for U.S. states in which three or more protests were held, similar to Not My Presidents Day or Impeachment March? This would mean combining many subsections and describing activities by city, alphabetically. There would still be subsections for some U.S. states, for improving flow and organization. ---Another Believer (Talk) 01:51, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Another Believer: Sounds good to me - Funcrunch (talk) 03:02, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Adding a Location?[edit]

Sorry, I'm still rather new at Wikipedia stuff. There was a tax march also held in Arkansas. How would we go about adding this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.171.131.188 (talk) 16:29, 2 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Step 1 find a source, meaning a news report covering the item. With that you can add the item. If you need assistance with basic editing, feel free to contact me. Trackinfo (talk) 16:34, 2 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
