1918 mine collapse[edit]
The article claimed one of the local ones collapsed on Christmas Day 1918, with a narrowly avoided loss of life because the miners were in chapel. I cannot find any documentation of this event in any mine in the greater Blaenau area, and I've read a lot about the history of these mines and quarries. Since the claim has remained unreferenced for 6 years now, I've removed it. If someone can dig up a reference, it would be great to put this back. The only thing close to this story I can find is the collapse at Rhosydd in 1900, but none of the details fit the description I removed from the article. Laplorfill (talk) 22:59, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
