Here my sources. Someone keeps vandalizing and putting her birthday at 1980 when it is indeed 1985. Why are people doing this when there are hundreds of sources online that say she was born March 19, 1985?

None of the pages you've linked to are reliable. The first two are dead, the third is a copy and paste of Wiki, the third is dead (and Lycos hosts fan pages, not official sites anyway) and the last is another unreliable fansite. I'm changing it back to 1984 since Femina Miss India's profile of her 2010 has her listed as 26. Do that math (2010 - 26 = 1984). And yes, it's from 2010; Neha Dhupia is listed as 30 in the list and she was born in 1980.

Also, I actually think she was born in 1979 and she's lying. This biography was written when she won Femina Miss India back in 2004:

Why does Gal Gadot have to figure on a page about Tanushree Dutta ?[edit]

Reasons why the Gal Gadot entry needs to be deleted[edit]

There were seventy eight other contestants in the 2004 Miss Universe pageant. Surely, the others deserve a mention too, but why on Tanushree's page
That Gadot became famous later as Wonder Woman is still no reason for her to figure on Tanushree's page

Earlier Discussion on the subject[edit]

I don't see how information about Gal Gadot improves this article. It's at best celebrity gossip. And despite the sources' wording I seriously doubt Gadot "lost to Tanushree Dutta". Both competed in the same pageant, Gadot did worse, but unless this pageant was organized differently from any other I've ever heard of, it was not a direct competition. So Gadot "lost to" (did worse than) a bunch of people which included Dutta; she did not lose specifically to her.

At a closer look, I doubt "8th runner up", too. That seems to be based on nothing but the ordering of the top ten in our own article on the Miss Universe 2004 pageant (compare the Twitter images in the sources [1][2]), which happens to be alphabetic by country for the people from 6 to 10 and again from 11 to 15. That same "alphabetic by country" order is found in our articles on the 2005 and 2006 pageants. The statistical chance that three years in a row the places 6-10 and 11-15 were each awarded in that alphabetical order is... negligible. So we can conclude that our article likely doesn't give "6th runner up" to "15th runner up" in any order imposed by the pageant (it also doesn't cite any sources for the order of those places). Searches on Google and Google News found an "8th runner up" only in connection with the "Dutta did better than Gal Gadot" buzz, basically the above, nothing from 2004. So we seem to be engaged in circular referencing here, with the news sources falsely believing that the order of names in our own article gives the order at the pageant.

For these reasons I'll remove both the Gal Gadot stuff and the "8th runner up" again. Huon (talk) 17:09, 5 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry for the late reply. I have a lot of real life work to do, so I am not able to concentrate much on Wikipedia these days.Gal Gadot has become famous world over after the release of Wonder Woman. It will definitely improve the article to have that information here. It is not a gossip. It is a fact as evidenced by the sources. Gadot didn't just lose to Tanushree. She lost to all the contestants who were finally placed above her and Tanushree was placed above her. When we draw a comparision between both of them, we can conclude that Gadot lost to Tanushree. I understand your point about ordering but we can safely conclude that Tanushree was definitely placed above Gadot from the sources. Tanushree was among the top 10 while Gadot wasn't. Instead of mentioning 8th runner up, we can mention that Tanushree was placed among top 10 while Gadot wasn't even among top 15.Sharkslayer87 (talk) 20:00, 6 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
