Summary[edit]

"Both tagliolini and tagliatelle are made with egg pasta" - this is misleading. The products named Tagliatelle that are ubiquitous in corner shops and supermarkets are almost always NOT made made with egg pasta but simply wheat. Maybe Tagliatelle was originally made with egg pasta? In modern times however it is surely fair to say that it can be either?

IPA[edit]

The IPA transcription contained two obvious errors, which I've corrected, but the transcription may still be incorrect, so I invite a review of that. My corrections were to replace two instances doubled consonants with a length marker. Doubled consonants would imply repitition of the entire sound, including onset, which is not what is intended. --Che Gannarelli (talk) 15:53, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Serving suggestions?[edit]

There is no reason for the article to contain serving suggestions, as serving suggestions are unencyclopedic, and they are based on opinions, thus violating WP:NPOV. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kennercat (talkcontribs) 02:35, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dishes[edit]

"Since tagliatelle are not made with pasta,..." What does it mean? I would say typical tagliatelle have diffferent texture than typical spaghetti, because they are typically not dried and contain eggs. I removed that clause. Please don't reinstate unless you have a reference to a source, and can write it in a less confusing way. 2001:981:4B0C:1:B97F:5448:AD28:8B66 (talk) 13:39, 28 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Splitting proposal[edit]

The article is called Tagliatelle but the intro also refers to tagliolini, a similar yet different pasta type, usually served with diffrent sauces than tagliatelle. I think it would make sense to have one article for a single topic, rather than mixing the two, so I would suggest a split. --Desyman (talk) 11:17, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Desyman: Seems there was already Taglierini explaining Tagliolini, so I moved the page as WP:COMMONNAME. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 18:29, 18 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
