Article titling[edit]

To whom it may concern,

My name is Karl Sturdivant and I am a representative of inVentiv Health. I am actually a developer who is currently working on the inVentivHealth.com website. We noticed that the search engines, Yahoo and Bing, are using this Wikipedia page in their search results when we search for inVentiv Health. This is fine however, the title of this article is incorrectly spelled. The correct spelling on the company name is inVentiv Health. The "V" in inVentiv is uppercase and the initial "I" is lowercase. We also do not need the "Inc". Please let me know if this is an edit that you can assist us with.

Thank you

  • @Ksturdivant: I would recommend your not editing this article as that runs counter to Wikipedia's consensus guideline on conflict of interest; see WP:COI. Speaking from experience, such editing might also run counter to your own organizations social media contributions policy and I recommend your checking those if you have not already. Sourcing problems ==> wikipedia notability problems?[edit]

Considering the difficulty I have run into finding reliable sources, I am beginning to wonder about the notability of this company in Wikipedia terms. The VAST majority of sources are either reprints of press releases or incidental mentions. In the absence of substantive reliable source support, I'm considering PROD'ing this at some point. Note that if I were to remove everything based on a press release, there would be almost nothing left of the article. --User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 00:32, 4 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It's grown up a lot. Covered by Zacks, SunTrust and CreditSuisse [1]

Company updates since merger[edit]

I would like to recommend factual updates to this page, as there is outdated information about Syneos Health contained herein. Some of the information had applied to one of the companies involved in the merger forming Syneos Health, which was inVentiv Health. I have created a Sandbox, which contains the most up-to-date factual information about the company, all newly referenced. For your consideration, I would like to propose updates to the Syneos Health page, based on this Sandbox: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Mattsnod/sandbox

NOTE: I am an employee of Syneos Health and am happy to discuss the proposed changes on this Talk Page.

Thanks for disclosing that you are an employee of Syneos, and for not editing directly. We prefer independent sources (not press releases, not SEC reports) and we will not use marketing language. Your proposal reads exactly like PR. Jytdog (talk) 00:06, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the feedback. Our aim was to correct factually incorrect information on the current article with updated factual information about the company (and not editorializing). If you can share those sections that seem like PR, that would be much appreciated. Also, do you have recommendations for other information sources (other than SEC or releases)? We want to be sure that we adhere to Wikipedia standards as much as possible. Thank you again for your time.

Mattsnod (talk) 13:39, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"independent" = not generated by the company or its contractors (that includes, not churnalism). "reliable"= something like the wall street journal or the new york times, not some blog. Wikipedia content is built by summarizing reliable, independent sources. For why we do things that way, see User:Jytdog/How.Jytdog (talk) 13:56, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks again for that guidance. We'll seek out those same factual updates via other, more reliable sources. Mattsnod (talk) 23:03, 4 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
