As I have understood this article, the ranging-distance is

d = (Tr - Tpd) * v / 2

v ... Speed of the EM-Wave
d ... Distance
Tr ... Roundtrip-Time
Tpd ... Processing Delays

If this is right, then please could someone who is an expert on that write this in a more clearly way into the article.
