Rename[edit]

Hmmmmm, I saw something just now that may be of use to both of you in ironing out this misunderstanding. According to one of the listed references, the pilot (called "The Un-Men Unleashed") debuted on Halloween, October 31, 1990. Perhaps that is what is causing the confusion? The first step here is to get some sort of agreement and consensus on just exactly what the "original air date" is. Is that the first date (chronologically) that any episode of the series aired? Or is it something else? AzureCitizen (talk) 22:48, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Somehow you've gotten confused then, as "To Live Forever" is definitely not the first episode (plus it didn't air until April 27, 1991). Take a look at the article, do you see that "The Un-Men Unleashed" aired as the first episode? AzureCitizen (talk) 16:28, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Now look at the third reference listed in the article, the link points to this:

8.6. WASN'T THERE A CARTOON SERIES? Animated advert might be a better description, but yes, DIC Entertainment and Batfilms produced a series in conjunction with the Kenner toy line. Only five episodes were produced. Previously turned down by CBS, they eventually aired on Fox Saturday Mornings (the pilot: 'the Un-Men Unleashed debuting unannounced on October 31st 1990 (Halloween)) The first episode was released on home video. The theme song from this 5 part blatant toy ad was 'Wild Thing', with the word 'wild' substituted with 'swamp'. And with lyrics such as "You fight everything nasty", it's no surprise it didn't really take off. Andy Heyward, President of DIC entertainment, was also an Executive Producer of the live action series. The series is currently being shown on The Children's Channel. Episode titles were: "The Un-Men Unleashed", "To Live Forever", "Legend of the Lost Cavern", "Experiment in Terror" and "Falling Red Star"

Where are you drawing that information from (which sources)? I'm going off of the link that says "The Un-Men Unleashed" first debuted on October 31, 1990, along with the link that says the entire series was aired in sequence starting with "The Un-Men Unleashed" on April 20, 1991, followed by "To Live Forever" on April 27, 1991, and so on, etc. AzureCitizen (talk) 21:29, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I was able to get into the site and pull up the records for all five episodes: The UnMen Unleashed, To Live Forever, Falling Red Star, Legend of the Lost Cavern, and Experiment in Terror. If we use the official date of publication filed with the U.S. Copyright office, we get this result:
