Hello, there!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Just wanted to say that, as of 1/1/15 - I've quickly re-edited my article, and will be going back in soon-ish to make it read more smoothly.

Now, there are those of you out there who are Star Trek fans: Trek fans whom I've met at conventions all over the world know that I am a huge fan of Trek fans, have great affection for them, have always felt profoundly grateful for their generosity, kindness, and enthusiastic support for all my artistic endeavors over the years. So, please know that when I speak the following, I mean it not generally, but in specific, as follows:

Every few years, my assistant or I come back to Wikipedia and find that a Star Trek fan has come in to entirely re-write the article about me, skewing it -- in a most biased, unbalanced way -- almost entirely toward Star Trek. While I'm certain there is no disrespect intended, may I assure you, I feel deeply disrespected as my career and my efforts are disregarded and belittled with headings like "Lesser Roles", etc. My own writing of MY OWN BIO is blithely chucked in favor of someone who deems themselves more of an expert on me and my accomplishments than I am. These self-appointed experts are also being disrespectful of the many fans of sitcom out there, who know me more prominently from other arenas, so take care that you do not assume that the world looks through your very subjective lens.

The last one I read and felt compelled to re-write was so shabbily written, so repetitious, so dismissive of my other work that I found most upsetting and frustrating, to be honest. Now, I rrealize that in the general scheme of Life, this is a very small issue indeed:-)! But I'd like to be on record as having pleaded: ''Should you feel inclined to "correct" or "add to" or "subtract from" my bio, PLEASE have the respect and courtesy to write me at my website and ask.

Thanks so very much for your consideration, much appreciated! Be well and happy,

Suzie Plakson

Article looks good. I added more sources but didn't change the content. Judy Eriksen! I hadn't made the connection before now, fantastic.
You are correct and over enthusiastic Star Trek fans should take care not to put WP:UNDUE emphasis on only her Star Trek appearances, memorable as they were, in keep them in proportion to her whole career. How I Met Your Mother 13 appearances. -- 109.78.198.237 (talk) 01:10, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
