lead rewrite?[edit]

i have just added a lead rewrite tag to this article for the following reasons - too long, for size of article should be one or two paragraphs long not 6+; too detailed, leads are introductions, a summary overview of the subject; too many citations, there are nearly 30!, citations are used in a lead if the information is controversial/likely to be challenged, which this will not, or if there are any direct quotations, which this one doesn't.
